Downton Gorge

This publication from Stonebrook Publishing is a book celebrating the Walks Richard Payne Knight created in Downton Gorge, Herefordshire in the 1780s.  The book brings together a unique collection of over one hundred images made by artists and photographers over the last two hundred years.

The book contains 108 pages of full colour images and will be enjoyed by anyone with an interest in Richard Payne Knight (1751-1824) of Downton Castle, the study of garden history and interpreting the landscape.  The book also heralds one of the first attempts to reclaim a former industrial site.
